Remember the topic cards we used last week for a fluency activity? Well, click here to download your own set. (The file is 31 pages long.)We talked about this as, besides great speaking practice in general, a specific way to prepare for the new Internet-based TOEFL. If you want to use these cards in this way, you might want to have a look at the Independent Speaking Rubric ETS (Educational Testing Service) uses to evaluate responses on the test. (The rubric is a pdf file. Click here if you need to download the latest Adobe Reader.) It might also be helpful to see an Overview of the test.

Thanks for sharing them with us, they will be very useful since the mid term is coming, I'll use them in my oral exam :)
Thank you so much Ross, I´m sure those cards are going to be verey, very helpful for all of us and, of course, our pupils.
thanks again.
That's a good idea Liz, to use them for the mid-term oral ex.
Thanks for sharing your material with us, I'll use them for my laboratory class, where the main objective is speaking and writing.
Did I wrote writing???? sorry I meant Listening. You know... working at this time. I'm falling asleep
I have noticed that sometimes for people that aren't very talkative in general, no matter the language, it's kind of hard to cover the amount of time required.
I tried them with a group of intermediate students, and that's what I noticed. What can we do in these cases? Any suggestion?
Quite interesting! I haven´t attended the last two sessions, but I guess this gives me a picture of what you have done.
Really nice of you.
